Home to Nearly 10 Superior Small Lodging™ —
Clearwater Beach and Clearwater offer these extraordinary Superior Small Lodging™ resorts and inns:
The City of Clearwater has been welcoming visitors since the Tampa Bay area was first settled. It is a city that loves its visitors! And, accolades to nearby Clearwater Beach – on the barrier island – assure visitors to Florida that this is a great destination option. Recently, Clearwater Beach was named, by “Condé Nast Traveler”, one of Florida’s Top White Sand Beaches.
The Condé Nast distinction follows on the heels of Clearwater Beach’s significant acclaim by USA Today, its Readers’ Choice for Best Beach Town in Florida. And it was also honored as the Best Beach in the “The Best of St. Pete/Clearwater” list.
Clearwater Beach is a small, bustling community. Streets are lined with some great restaurants, specialty shops, ice cream parlors, day spas, and more. Not to mention the Clearwater Harbor Marina, close by, that offers all sorts of on-the-water experiences – from adrenaline-filled speed boat rides, to dinner cruises, to fishing charters and more. Plus, nearby Clearwater is spring training home to the Philadelphia Phillies.
Two attractions stand out for most visitors to Clearwater Beach:
- Clearwater Aquarium, home to “Winter”, the dolphin with a prosthetic tail, made famous by the movie with her name, is located off the causeway between Clearwater and Clearwater Beach. The aquarium is for folks of all ages.
- Pier 60 is an extended Pier on Clearwater Beach. Just follow the pedestrian friendly ‘Beach Walk’ promenade and you will arrive here! Every evening at Pier 60 – starting about two hours before sunset and continuing – is a festival with street performers of all kinds… plus local artisans and craftspeople showcasing their wares… while bands create live music for all. It’s a real ‘happening’ where you also can catch the magnificent sunset!
